For garment manufacturers, unpredictability in bulk fabric orders is a major operational risk. A perfectly performing sample yardage may not match bulk production showing differences in shade, weight, width, or hand-feel.

Lack of consistency causes: increased wastage, sewing problems (puckering, needle cuts), and final fit variations leading to high return rates. A good fabric partner must have stringent quality control at all levels: yarn acquisition, greige knitting, dyeing, and finishing.
